Back in August, Kathleen applied for a visa which means she can stay in the UK and work.
It’s been a long and painful process for us; waiting on the black box that is UK Visa and Immigration to tell you if you’ve been successful. The date UKVI were supposed to get back to us within came and went, but we hadn’t heard anything.
We explored all of our options a week or so ago and pretty much nothing was available to us. We contacted our MP in Croydon, and they weren’t really able to help or give us any more accurate information than the ‘help’ line UKVI have. (It wasn’t that much help!)
We’ve been praying pretty hard about it all, knowing God had it in his hands, but not really knowing what that meant for the decision. Then out of the blue yesterday, a package came with this letter and all Kathleen’s documents; she has been granted a period of leave to remain!
Thank you to all our family and friends who have supported us whilst we’ve been waiting for this.
Whilst this is the end of this process (for at least 2 and a half years), it’s now the beginning of our next season in London.
